1. continued

We went to hang out together alone, and spent the night driving around Irvine just talking as much as we possibly could. There were moments of silence, but it all fit perfectly. Dissecting our lives and telling stories, all while burning 1/2 a tank of gas. As the sun began to rise, we found ourselves arriving in perfect fashion for what could be considered the greatest sunrise in the history of sunrises. The colors accented the sky in ways that only the greatest artists in the world could imagine, and they’d probably have to be on LSD or something. We continued to talk the night away into day, and as much as I wanted to hold her hand, was just too shy. This, if anything, was something that I would not screw up, and I would make sure it was alright. As the morning continued, we ..

found ourselves spending the last fleeting moments of the weekend with each other. We continued to tiptoe around the issue of holding hands, but she grabbed my index finger as we slowly slipped out of consciousness. If this weekend was something temporary, please let it be forever placed in my memory.

When i woke up I found myself looking at her, breathing heavily, just laying on my shoulder. “Five more minutes” I thought, so I closed my eyes and went back into sleep. As I slipped back and forth between consciousness, the time in the clock kept on inching towards the deadline… it was one of those moments that you wanted to just freeze forever. When it was finally time, we exited the car and hugged for an extended period of time. This was a hug that I never wanted to end, but life continues to move even if you try your absolute hardest to stand still. But I eventually found myself laying in bed, and her falling asleep on the way to the dentist. As I embarked on my way back home, we continued to text, and the further I got, the more I felt as if I left something quite magical 400 miles away. By the time I got home she was still online, we exchanged a few messages before she kicked down the door:
